About Cowal Rugby Club

Cowal Rugby club was formed in 1976 and is based in Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula, Argyll, Scotland. As a small, local club, we pride ourselves on our community spirit and we work hard to accommodate rugby for all ages, with micro, mini, midi and senior sections providing a playing pathway from 5 years and up (even when your broken and battered!). We train and play our home games at Dunoon Stadium’s top parks and use The Lorne Bar, a close-by pub as our clubhouse and for post game hospitality.

If you want to give us a try you will be made very welcome, training times are as follows:

Junior Training –  Tue & Thu, 6pm
Senior Training – Tue & Thu, 7pm

We are a proud club and we have great ambitions and aspirations. In season 2008/09 we won promotion to the Scottish Regional West League 2 although being demoted the next year. Due to a league restructure we now play in Scottish Regional West League 4 and hope to compete intensely for a league win and promotion in Season 2012/13.

We also have a fantastic connection with San Louis Obisbo Rugby Club, California and have had two very successful tours in 2009 and then again in 2011.

This is an exciting time for Cowal Rugby and we would love you to be a part of it, either as a player or supporter.
